Some Frequently Asked Questions...
Do I need to be a vegetarian of some type to enjoy or learn from this event?
No way! In fact, it’s probably better if your not! Our goal is to share a new way of eating that we, and many scientists, have found promotes a healthy lifestyle. We want people to see that vegetarian cooking can be good, really good! Read the About Us to see the story National Geographic did on the Adventist’s secrets of longevity!
How early must I purchase tickets in advance?
The sooner you send in you order the better. Especially if you have a group, or want a certain seating time! This event does sell out every year so it is important you send for your ticket(s) as soon as possible. Do not wait till a week or two before the event to purchase your tickets, you may be disappointed, and that is a terrible way to begin the holiday season. You can put off you Christmas shopping but you don’t want to put off ordering your tickets, when their gone, their gone.
How much does it cost?
$14 dollars for Adults
$6 dollars for children ages 6-12
How do I get tickets?
It's really quite simple, you must obtain a registration borchoure, fill it out, and mail it in with your check. Once we receive your order and payment we will mail your tickets back to you. CLICK HERE for all the details on purchasing tickets.
I see you sell tickets for children ages 6-12 what if my child is younger?
Due to the volume of people we must feed in a limited amount of time we must regretfully suggest that this event is not ideal for children under six years old. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
Do you have any food that a vegan vegetarian can eat?
Yes, we try to dedicate a large number of dishes to being dairy free. At the event you will receive a floor map with a key code for each dish that shows which foods are prepared without milk, eggs, or cheese.
Who sponsors this event?
This event is a labor of love by the members of the Metroplitan Seventh-day Adventist Church, as well as members from sister churches in the area. All of the cooks donate their time and resources to bring you nothing but the best home cooked vegetarian holiday favorites. Better Living Seminars, a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching the importance of healthy living, is also a key sponsor of this tasting event.
